Banks and building societies involved in commercial VRP

Last checked

Commercial variable recurring payments let customers approve repeat bank payments within agreed limits. Bank participation matters because businesses need both an eligible payment use and a supported payer account.

Three different questions. Initial funding records development support. UKPI shareholding records ownership of the scheme operator. Live availability records a provider’s commercial VRP connection. One does not establish another.

This directory covers 11 historical bank and building society entries. It is not a complete current UKPI membership register. UKPI’s October update reports 10 banks and building societies in its shareholding, but a complete updated named roster was not verified. No extra bank has been guessed.

How to read availability

Confirmed live means Modulr explicitly lists the bank as available for commercial VRP. It is not a promise that every account, brand or provider is covered. Announced rollout means Moneyhub places Monzo in its UKPI rollout; this does not establish a live date. Not publicly confirmed means the reviewed evidence does not establish bank-specific commercial availability. It is not proof that a service is unavailable.

Directory-only organisations

Metro Bank

Named initial funder; not listed in the June 2026 founding shareholder announcement. Official organisation information ↗. Detailed bank-specific cVRP evidence was insufficient for a standalone profile.

Revolut

Named initial funder and founding shareholder. Revolut announced a UK bank launch on 11 March 2026 with phased account migration. The entity serving an account must be checked; UKPI shareholding does not confirm commercial VRP support for it. Official organisation information ↗. Detailed bank-specific cVRP evidence was insufficient for a standalone profile.

Starling

Named initial funder and founding shareholder; no bank-specific live commercial VRP connection was established in the reviewed sources. Official organisation information ↗. Detailed bank-specific cVRP evidence was insufficient for a standalone profile.

Vanquis (including Snoop)

OBL names Vanquis including Snoop as one funding entry. Snoop is a money management app; that entry does not establish it as a payer bank or a live commercial VRP connection. Official organisation information ↗. Detailed bank-specific cVRP evidence was insufficient for a standalone profile.
